How do I reserve a date if I want you to be my wedding photographer?
Please call our studio any time at 314-256-9369 or send us an email with your contact information so we can call you.

Who actually does the photographing?
We do, Joe & Sarah Holst. We think it's a bit misleading to display our best photos only to send out a temporary hire or apprentice to your wedding. We capture every detail personally, we process every photo personally and we have 100% control over the creative process.

What type of equipment do you photograph with?
We use Canon Digital Cameras, Canon Lenses, Reflectors, Flashes, etc. We bring enough equipment to sink a small battleship and are well equipped to handle most situations.

What do you wear to our wedding?
This depends on the type of wedding you are having. This is something we'll talk about with you when we meet. We're willing to make any accommodations you request. Typically we wear black or tan dress slacks, a black dress shirt and black dress shoes. We do our best to look sharp. We wear black because it helps us to be more inconspicuous when we're moving about capturing your big day. If you would like us to wear a tuxedo there may be additional costs involved.

What are your rates?
Our wedding photography prices vary but all are priced very reasonably. We don't think you should have to take out a loan to get some high quality, modern wedding photos.

Do you charge tax?
We do not charge sales tax on our packages because you are purchasing a service, which is tax free. The package price you see is the final package price. However, any a la carte items will be charged sales tax, since they are products.

How much do the actual photos cost?
We actually roll the price of the photographing the wedding and the cost of the photos and albums into one convenient package for you. We also have an "A la Carte" section. Check out our Wedding Photo Pricing for details.

When do I pay for the wedding package?
We ask that you pay half to reserve the date and the other half when the finished prints are delivered.

What types of payment do you accept?
Currently we accept cash, check or money order.

How long will you stay to photograph the wedding?
We are available from 2 hours to an unlimited time depending on the package you select. We are available at an hourly rate if you would like us to stay past the agreed time.

Will you travel outside St. Louis Missouri?
Sure! Just let us know and we'll work out some sort of deal. (i.e. - gas mileage, hotel, etc.)

What if I need to cancel my wedding package?
You may be put in a position where you need to cancel and that's perfectly okay. It's no problem to reschedule for another date. Please keep in mind if you decide not to reschedule the fee to reserve the date cannot be refunded.

What happens after the wedding day?
The photos are whisked away to our studio for processing. We'll either upload the proofs and let you view them online or send you a CD to view them on your computer. From there you can select the images for your album and units.

What happens after we pick the proofs we want printed?
Once you have picked the proofs that you would like printed we'll spend a little more time with color correction, airbrushing, etc to make sure the photo is perfect. Then we'll send them to print which typically takes another week depending on the time of year.

What is a unit?
A unit is generally a sheet of 8 x 10 paper, unless the print size is larger. We have an example of units on our wedding pricing page.
